Rooms
Buddy’s is a ten-room guesthouse with a mixture of dorms, doubles and triples. All rooms are ensuite and come equipped with walls, a door to enable you to go in and out, and even a window at no extra cost. Our luxury bridal suite has two windows.
All rooms have a ceiling fan. We don’t provide air conditioning in the rooms as we believe it’s environmentally unfriendly. It’s also really expensive.
Some of our rooms are equipped with Satellite TV, some aren’t. Why would you want to watch tv when you're here anyway? Doesn't make any difference to the price.
Communal Area
The cornerstone of any good guesthouse. Ours comes equipped with hammocks and horizontal backpackers. We have a small bar, which looks suspiciously like a fridge, there is a kitchen for you to cook in, places to sit, lie down, squat, whatever, all surrounded by our leafy garden. We also have our very own churrasqueira, for our famous Buddys BBQ´s.
Location
The perfect spot. We are right in the center of town, just off the main street, so you’re always close to the action. But we’re far enough away not to be bothered by the constant noise that emulates from it. The only noise you’ll get here is the contented murmuring of dozing surfers, sleeping backpackers and napping geckos. The towns beaches are just a few minutes walk away (see distance chart on other page) and we are next door to the world famous "Sons of Zumbi" Capoeira School.
Breakfast
Breakfast is included in the price at Buddys. Breakfast includes: Two fruits, eggs, bread, cakes, coffee and juice. Buy this breakfast anywhere in town and it´ll cost you R$5-R$7. No other hostel in Itacare provides breakfast at an inclusive price that matches ours. Most don´t even provide breakfast. After a nights partying, or before a days´surfing - it´s just what you need!
Other services
We have a small book shop in reception with books in all sorts of conditions. You can buy a book from us, or swap two of yours for one of ours. Or some other arrangement could be reached....
We offer a laundry service, cheaper than anywhere else in town.
We can arrange surf lessons, surf board rental, hospital appointments for bad surfers
We offer moped, motorbike and car hire rental, for those of you that can’t be bothered to travel anywhere on foot.
Utilize our travel agency service, for booking boat, bus, plane and train tickets to or from anywhere.
We also provide excursion arrangement, agony aunt options, application of sunburn lotion service, ear cleaning, pretty much anything else you can think of – you name it, we can do it, or we’ll know someone who’s prepared to give it a go.

Forgot that essential item? Can’t be bothered to go out and get it? Never fear. Buddy’s shop and ‘FindMe’ service provides most things including: Toiletries, Suncream, BoardWax, Snacks, Batteries, Papers, Cigarettes, Havianas….. Etc
